Asystasia gangetica is commonly known as Chinese violet. It is a species in the plant family Acanthaceae. The Asystasia gangetica can be found throughout the tropics. In some parts of Africa, its leaves are eaten as a vegetable. The Asystasia gangetica can also be use as an ornamental plant.
